We would like to invite you to join us for a "Concert of Prayer" in March 26th, 2010 at Peru Church of God, 130 Jabez Allen Road, Peru, NY 12972, starting at 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Participants may join us at anytime for any part or for all of that time. Below is the basic outline. The "focus"s will be stationed around the sanctuary and those praying will move through them as they are led. The last half hour (7:30-8) will be a time of open corporate prayer.

It is our intention to pray for these focuses, individually where-ever we are, morning, noon and night throughout the week prior to and bringing it to a close corporately with the Concert of Prayer.

We believe that God is calling us to a monthly, perhaps traveling, concert of prayer, enabling us to join together with other like minded churches.

CONCERT OF PRAYER

Overall Focus

BROKENNESS—Pray that the things (that hold us from what God has called us to do) will be broken from us!  Ask God to break the contracts that have been made (by us or anyone else) against us that are stopping us from achieving the fullness of God’s will in our lives. Pray to break the chains that hold us in fear, doubt, worry, and unbelief.  Pray to break the curses spoken over our lives (by us or by someone else).  Pray to break our perceptions of how we think God ought to move or how he should do something.

God does not refuse a broken heart, He runs to it! Not only do we need to be set free, we need to be broken and have a truly broken heart. So, we must call for conviction to fall on us like it has never fallen on us before. We need to pray to be broken. Then, we'll know how to ask in the way God wants us to ask, for the salvation of souls. 

Individual Focuses

• Government, local, state, federal, for Godly leaders to bring honesty and righteousness

• Pray for schools and school Boards and for leaders to make good and Godly decisions in school and home.

• Family, parents, spouses, children and grandchildren, protect and provision for all children at home and at school.  Claim all children for Jesus.

• Workplaces, supervisors, co-workers, peace and a spirit of co-operation.

• Our church body and neighboring churches for leadership and membership, spirit led.  Prayer for all pastors and their families.

• Community, outreach ideas and mission projects and that the community would respond positively.

• Mission projects, pray for God’s leading and blessing. 

• Pray against sexual immorality and perversion, and “break the spine of homosexuality” in our community and our families. 

• Media, Entertainment and the Arts.  Ask God to break the power of movies and that every movie that takes the name of the Lord in vain would be silenced.

• Hunger for Righteousness, The Word, The Presence of the Lord, etc.

• Pray for revival in Clinton and Essex Counties.
